NSX Manager 6.4 (NSX-V)
NSX Manager is widely adopted as network virtualization in the Vmware environment.
In the later days of the NSX-V, VMware has announced the NSX-T where it supports multi hypervisor environment along with cloud. It is developed with open source and installed in KVM.
V stands for Vsphere and T stands for 'Transformers'.
Architecture:
It is defined in three module architecture Data, Control & Management plane.
Data Plane: NSX logical switch, Hypervisor Kernel module where install scripts & configuration files are held and managed.
Control Plane: NSX controllers that basically state management system which makes the function enabled for the logical switching and routing.
Management Plane: NSX manager is the core component of it as it holds all the management. It also enables the REST API entry.
